FISHERS, Ind. — The City of Fishers announced Wednesday that the city's newest park is scheduled to open next summer.
The Fishers White River Park will be located just west of the 96th Street and Allisonville Road intersection. The new park will connect visitors to existing trails and waterways throughout Fishers, according to a news release.
City officials said the park features over 120 acres of parkland with over 5,000 feet of riverfront and amenities along the west side of Fishers and the Allisonville Road corridor.
The new park will have 2.5 miles of trails, a kayak launch, two overlook boardwalks and more.
“Fishers White River Park is a transformational project that will significantly enhance connectivity across our city, offering our residents access to beautiful parkland,” Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness said. “This new park is a cornerstone of our vision to revitalize the Allisonville Road corridor, creating a vibrant and thriving community space everyone can enjoy.”
The groundbreaking is slated for fall 2024.
