FISHERS, Ind. — The new Fishers Event Center is preparing to open its doors in November — and it's looking for people to fill up some jobs!
The center is hosting a career fair on Thursday, Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. at noon at Launch Fishers, located at 12175 Visionary Way.
The Fishers Event Center has a slew of positions open. The jobs include: ticket sellers, guest services coordinators, premium staff concert runners, ice crew, Zamboni drivers, operations crew, cooks, bartenders, suite attendants, dish washers, suite runners and food and beverage leads.
Officials said Andy Frain Services will be hiring for event security, building security and event guest services. LAZ Parking will be hiring for customer service and operations positions.
Interviewees will meet with Fishers Event Center staff and hiring managers.
The Fishers Event Center sits on a 53-acre plot, expanding upon the recently developed 18-acre Fishers District, which features an array of dining and retail options.
Officials said the Fishers Event Center will be the "largest entertainment arena" of its size in the area, capable of holding up to 7,500 people.
It will also be home to three professional sports teams: the Indy Fuel Hockey Club of the ECHL, Indy Ignite of the Professional Volleyball Federation and Fishers Freight of the Indoor Football League.
