INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Transformation of the Concert and Entertainment Lawn at White River is underway.

The venue will include a permanent stage and lighting, permanent seating and seating pad for 3,000 people with an additional lawn seating capacity of 4,500.

"We are so excited about the enhancements being made at WRSP,” said Carolene Mays-Medley, executive director of the White River State Park Development Commission. “The Concert Lawn is one of our most treasured amenities and through our public-private partnership with Live Nation, we have been able to offer over 25 concert events from all genres annually. These enhancements will not only allow us to continue to offer memorable experiences for Hoosiers from all over the state, but expand our ability to diversify our offerings and serve so many more."

Construction is expected to be completed in June 2020.
