55th Annual Fire, Police & Deputy Sheriff’s Community Recognition Luncheon

Public safety workers received awards for outstanding service in the past year.

INDIANAPOLIS — Each year, public safety personnel from the Indianapolis Fire Department, Indianapolis Metro Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office are honored at the Fire, Police & Deputy Sheriff’s Community Recognition Luncheon.

13News’ Anne Marie Tiernon and Jalea Brooks acted as hosts at the event. It is a chance for public safety employees to be honored for outstanding service in the past year. All of the awards come from nominations by their peers.

Firefighter of the Year went to Private Adam Gaudin; Police Officer of the Year went to Sergeant Ron Shelnutt; and Sheriff's Deputy of the Year went jointly to Lieutenant Brian Hogue, Corporal Andres Escalante, Corporal Garrett Phillips, and Deputy Zachary Woods.
