The Food and Drug Administration has a warning for the company that produces "KIND" bars, saying some products are misleading.

The FDA wants the company to strip the term "healthy" from its packaging and website, as well as the "plus" symbol on at least four products.

  • Fruit and Nut Almond and Apricot
  • Fruit and Nut Almond and Coconut
  • Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate and Protein
  • Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew and Antioxidants

None of these products meet the nutrient requirement to call them "healthy," according to the FDA. The bars have up to 3.5 grams of saturated fat per 40 grams. The government's standard is less than one gram for the "healthy" label.

The company says the nuts inside the bars are what made it fall outside the government's standard.
