DANVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) - The most famous police car in Danville was damaged in a hit-and-run crash early Friday.
Danville Police say the "Mayberry Car," a vintage police car that sits parked in front of the Mayberry Cafe, was hit around 4:25 a.m. Photos show the car was heavily damaged in the driver's side trunk, including large dents and extensive paint damage.

Police say the driver fled the scene, but was located around 9:45 a.m.
The driver was identified as a 26-year-old woman from Coatesville. She is currently charged with a misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of an accident, though police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
