HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating after a plane knocked over a golf cart and left its occupant unconscious Sunday afternoon in Kokomo.
According to the Howard County Sheriff's Office, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 5, an experimental aircraft was landing at the Glenndale Airport. Deputies said a woman in a golf cart next to the runway was filming the plane.
As the plane came in for a landing, deputies said the plane hit the golf cart, which caused it to roll over and knock the woman unconscious.
The woman was taken to a hospital via helicopter, while the pilot of the plane was not injured, according to deputies.
The sheriff's office did not specify the severity of the woman's injuries.
