NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) – Dogs were strutting to save lives today in Noblesville.
Sunday was the Indiana Donor Networks annual "Strut 2 Save Lives" walk to encourage people to become organ and tissue donors.
It is in honor of Indycar Driver Bryan Clauson, who grew up in Noblesville. He died in a racing accident in 2016.
As a registered donor, his tragic death helped save lives.
Two people who got his donation came in from Nebraska to honor the man who saved their lives.
"Bryan saved five people with his donation, said Taylor Mclean," Community Relations Coordinator. "He was also a tissue donor and helped up to 75 others through that and you know, I think that speaks to the legacy that he left."
The dogs are involved because Bryan was a dog lover.
The goal is to raise $25,000.
All of the money goes to help people dealing with a transplant or a donation.
