INDIANAPOLIS — To encourage a safe Fourth of July holiday in the Circle City, Hoosiers are being offered discounted rates for some of the most popular ride-sharing apps.
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) has teamed up with Uber and Lyft to offer $10 off rides from July 4-7.
Up to 1,000 vouchers are available each day, and ride credits are available between 5 p.m. and 3 a.m.
Rides must originate in or arrive at either Indianapolis or Fort Wayne.
"This Fourth of July, celebrate safely,” said James Bryan, ICJI’s traffic safety director. “Make sure to designate a sober driver when traveling to and from Fourth of July festivities.”
To use the offer, visit SoberRideIndiana.com, click on "Redeem Ride Credits" and follow the on-screen instructions.
Tips are not included in the discount and possession of a code does not guarantee availability of credit.
