IMPD is conducting a death investigation after a woman's body was found shortly before 5:30 a.m. Thursday on Indianapolis' east side.
The body was found in the street in the 3000 block of Nowland Avenue, which is near Parker Avenue on the south side of Brookside Park.
Police say the woman had apparent head trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
IMPD's homicide unit is investigating the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
