INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - David Letterman is back in town and bringing the laughs.
More than 900 community leaders joined Letterman Tuesday at the Madam Walker Theater to talk about the city's bicentennial plans.
There was also a little rapid-fire Q-and-A with the former late night host. He was asked about his favorite Indy restaurants, authors and the best recipe from his mom's cookbook.
"I think after the trichinosis outbreak, the ham loaf, I think that went away, but boy, the German potato salad was just delightful," Letterman said.
While he was there, Visit Indy presented Letterman with this year's "Bill McGowan Tourism Award," the highest tourism honor in Indianapolis.
