The husband of a pregnant mother killed during a home invasion wrote an emotional Instagram post on what would have been his wife's due date.

Davey Blackburn posted a photo of a Father's Day card written by his wife, Amanda, to their son Weston before he was born. The post, written shortly before midnight on Wednesday, goes on to mention the couple's unborn daughter, Evie Grace.

"Today I would have been a dad of two. Today was Evie Grace's due date. Although I never met her, I loved her more than I ever thought I could love a little one," Davey Blackburn wrote.

Three men are accused of breaking into the Blackburn's home last November 10. Amanda was shot and killed. Weston was also in the house at the time of his mother's murder.

"I love you Evie Grace and I can't wait to see you and your beautiful mommy again one day. Happy Birthday, sweetie!" Blackburn's Instagram post concluded.
