INDIANAPOLIS — Crews from at least two fire departments battled a two-alarm building fire on Indianapolis' far east side early Thursday morning.
The fire was reported at a large warehouse in the 8500 block of East 30th Street, near North Post Road, around 3:15 a.m. Jan. 25.
Indianapolis Fire Department Battalion Chief Rita Reith told 13News no one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported.
Around 100 firefighters responded to the scene because a second alarm was declared, Reith said.
Crews are expected to remain at the scene for several hours Thursday morning, and East 30th Street is expected to be blocked for an extended period.
