INDIANAPOLIS — Emergency crews are on the scene of an apartment fire on Indy’s west side Tuesday.
The Wayne Township Fire Department responded to a report of a fire around 11 a.m. Oct. 8 at the Pier 39 Apartments in the 3700 block of Montauk Court, near West 38th Street and Interstate 465.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the apartment complex.
Second alarm resources were requested to the scene.
Fire officials told 13News no injuries have been reported and all occupants have been accounted for. Several units received heavy damage from the fire.
The Speedway Fire Department posted on social media that its crews were at the scene and asked the public to avoid the area by using 38th or 34th streets.
