ANDERSON, Ind. — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Anderson's southwest side Tuesday afternoon.
According to an Anderson Police Department spokesperson, it happened around 1:46 p.m. at West 53rd Street and West 53rd Street Parkway, not far from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The spokesperson said a preliminary investigation indicates a car and a pickup truck collided at the intersection. The driver of the car was found in serious condition, and pronounced dead at the scene just moments later.
The Madison County coroner will release the name of the deceased person after notification have been made.
No other injuries were reported, and an investigation is ongoing. Police confirmed everyone involved is cooperating with the investigation.
