NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WTHR) - We're learning how New Castle's police chief died last month just days after getting sick.
The Henry County Coroner said Friday that Brad Catron went into septic shock from pneumonia and had multi-organ failure.
He passed away in December, just before Christmas. He got sick while working at a high school basketball game.
Catron was a 29-year veteran of the force and served the last six years as chief of police.
He leaves behind a wife and two adult children.
