(HENDRICKS COUNTY) - It's ten acres of fun.
From the pumpkin patch to the hay bales to the board games that you can also play with pumpkins.
But that's is only part of the story. After all, life is not all fun and games.
"The inspiration came from my grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago," said Zach Frazee of Hogan Farms Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze.
He decided to design a corn maze in his field just north of Brownsburg on 86th St. that she could enjoy from the heavens.
"So the reason we did the corn maze is because it's pretty emotional for us as a family because she was the matriarch, so we decided to do the cancer theme. Put up a dedication board to keep the community together," Frazee said.
The patch opened in late September. The dedication board is already running out of space so they started putting pictures on the back.
"A couple of people are bringing the pictures in. This is my grandma. She was the inspiration for the whole maze. We miss her so but I know she is looking down on us," he confessed.
And her view has to be phenomenal.
That's not all. Zach did some research and he found a porcelain doll pumpkin that has a pink tint in honor of cancer awareness month.
"This was about three times the size," he remembered.
And as you might expect, they are selling fast and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sweet Melissa Foundation in Hendricks County.
It's a perfect way to actually enjoy yourself, have some fun and fight cancer at the same time. It will be open through October 29th.
