CONNERSVILLE, Ind. — The Connersville Police Department has lost a valued member of the force.
In a Facebook post, the Connersville PD announced K-9 officer Leo passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6. He leaves behind his partner, Lt. Perry and his family.
On Thursday, the Connersville PD held a "Final Ride" processional that began at the Connersville Veterinary Clinic and proceeded through town before ending in Hanson Meadows.
The processional made a brief pause at the Connersville Police Department where the final radio call honored Leo's memory.
Members of the community were encouraged to line the processional route to pay their respects to the fallen K-9 officer.
