INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were hospitalized and a cat died after a condo fire on Indianapolis' north side Tuesday evening.
The fire was reported around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23 on Grinnell Lane, near West 96th Street and Township Line Road.
Images shared by the Pike Township Fire Department on social media showed heavy flames coming from the impacted building.
The department said responding crews found everyone had evacuated from the two impacted condos, which were "fully involved."
Two people were "stable" when taken to local hospitals to be evaluated for smoke inhalation. One cat removed from the building couldn't be revived, fire officials said.
The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
