WESTFIELD, Ind. — Westfield residents will have a brand new hospital in their city in the next couple of years.
Community Health announced Monday, June 3 plans for its first hospital in Hamilton County, which will be located near 196th Street and US 31.
“This expansion reflects our responsiveness to Westfield’s growth and needs,” said Jason Fahrlander, COO of Community Health. “This new state-of-the-art health care campus aligns with our mission to enhance health and well-being in the communities we serve.”
The project will reconstruct two existing buildings located at 19800 N. East St. and 19900 N. East St. to become medical offices, a surgery center, an emergency department, outpatient imaging and cardiovascular care. The project will also see the construction of a 100-bed inpatient tower.
The medical office building is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025 while the surgery center, service building and hospital tower are expected to be completed by mid-2026 at an estimated cost of $335 million.
A public hearing is planned for later this summer to gather additional input from the Westfield community.
