GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTHR) - A community is saying goodbye to a little boy who made a big impact in our state.
Bryce Clausen died last week after a battle with Krabbe Disease. He was just 14-months old.
Visitation was Friday night in Greenwood. Family and friends wore blue and stripes to honor celebrate his short life.
His family made it their mission to change Indiana law and the state's newborn screening panel.
"This is a whole community that's coming out to show their love and so many people are just thanking us for sharing his story and we are so proud of Bryce and we are proud to share his story and what he's done and the lives he's going to change in the future," said Joel Clausen, Bryce's father.
Now other states from coast-to-coast are looking to Bryce's story for inspiration to change their state laws.
He will be laid to rest Saturday in a private funeral service.
