COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) - Police arrested a Columbus man on several drug-related charges Tuesday night after a canine detected narcotics during a traffic stop.
Columbus Police stopped 47-year-old David W. Hill Central Avenue near Fair Oaks Mall around 8:00 p.m. and found marijuana, five bags of methamphetamine, and prescription drugs, along with $2800 in cash.
Officers confirmed warrants for Hill’s arrest took him to the Bartholomew County Jail on outstanding warrants from Lawrence and Jackson counties, and preliminary charges of:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance
