Colts fans participate in annual 5k, inside Lucas Oil due to rain

The Colts didn't let the rain we had earlier keep them from letting some fans have fun on the field.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – The rain's mostly cleared out for the night but the roof at Lucas Oil Stadium is going to stay closed for the team's second pre-season home game.

But the team didn't let the rain we had earlier keep them from letting some fans have fun on the field.

The team held it's annual 5K today.

It's a chance for fans to take part in a run and finish on the 50 yard line.

But because of the rain they moved the whole run inside Lucas Oil Stadium.

Fans say they are grateful the roof was closed so they could still take part in a fun event that they look forward to every year.

That includes one season ticket holder who made the drive up from Louisville to be here today.

"For this, the finish on the 50 and to come on out here with my friends and family and to take it all in," said Misty Davis. "And to watch everybody take everything in and to get that energy of being right here on the field."
