Driver killed in 2-car Clinton County crash

CLINTON COUNTY, Indiana — Clinton County authorities are investigating after a driver was killed in a two-car crash Saturday morning.

The crash was reported around 11:45 a.m. Nov. 16 at the intersection of State Road 28 and County Road 1300 East. That's roughly 14 miles east of Frankfort and 12 miles west of Tipton.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that it's believed a Mitsubishi SUV was traveling north on County Road 1300 East when it disregarded a stop sign and hit a Kia crossover that was traveling west. 

The driver of the Mitsubishi SUV was ejected in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the Kia crossover was taken to a local hospital. The severity of their injuries was not provided.

The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the crash and said it would release the name of the driver who died once family has been notified.
