'Christmas Nights of Lights' opens at Indiana State Fairgrounds

More than 1 million lights are synchronized to music you can play through your car radio.

INDIANAPOLIS — With the nice weather recently, you may be thinking about putting up your outdoor Christmas decorations this weekend. 

Or you could check out the lights that are already up!

Christmas Nights of Lights returns to Indiana State Fairgrounds for the 2023 season starting Nov. 10.

It's a display that will instill the holiday spirit in visitors. The lights go on at 6 p.m. when the gates open to welcome people who made online reservations. 

It's one of the largest display of lights in Indianapolis. In fact, more than 1 million lights are synchronized to a music track you can hear on your car radio.  

Christmas Nights of Lights includes a couple of new displays this year, including "Enchanted Christmas Trees."

The event continues through Dec. 31.

Ticket information

Online reservations are required.

Admission is $30 per car (up to 8 passengers & must ride together in a single vehicle).

Groups are admitted for $50 for 9-15 passengers or $75 for 16+ passengers.

Enter through Gate 12 at 1698 E. 42nd St.

Vehicles are subject to height restriction, since the entrance tunnel is 11 feet. Full-size buses and large RVs cannot be accommodated.
