Christmas Gift and Hobby Show to wrap up Sunday

The last time to stop by the festive marketplace will be Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Christmas Gift & Hobby Show wraps up on Sunday. Hundreds of vendors from around the country came to the Indiana State Fairgrounds to help Hoosiers get into the holiday spirit.

From food and beverages to gifts of all sizes, there was something for anyone on your Christmas list. People were also able to watch choirs and different dance studios perform in between visiting the vendors.

One vendor, WC Build-a-Buddy, sold build-your-own stuffed animals. Owner Carolyn Robbins also does a 3D Teddy Hospital, where she creates bears for children in hospitals, in addition to making build-your-own stuffed animals.

"I bring joy to people's lives, and it brings me joy to do that," Robbins said. "I feel like this is my opportunity to touch so many lives."

Another vendor, Pixie Gypsy, allowed people to take photos in front of a fully-remodeled 16-foot 1971 Pixie Piker camper turned into a mobile photo booth. Owner Natasha Leavell started this with her husband as a hobby, but has since grown it into a business that captures people's memories.

"It melts my heart. We had someone here celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary, and it's so sweet to document that," Leavell said.

The last time to stop by this festive marketplace will be Sunday Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
