Children's Museum opens new winter exhibit, 'WinterFaire'

WinterFaire, a new, magical winter world opened at the museum, replacing Jolly Days.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Children's Museum of Indianapolis kicked off its holiday celebration this weekend with some new traditions.

WinterFaire, a new, magical winter world opened at the museum, replacing Jolly Days. It features loveable characters, a carnival-like atmosphere and, of course, hands-on activities.

Perhaps most importantly, you can still zoom down the 40-foot slide, but it now has a winter twist.

The museum says it's an event for kids and anyone who is a kid at heart.

"We've realized it's been popular with our younger visitors as well as adults, so there really is something for everyone and we want people to come visit us to start new memories and traditions," said Erica Lacey, senior exhibits project manager at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.

WinterFaire will be open for play through February 11.
