Children's Museum acquires Meridian Street properties for parking, programs

They bought the old Drake Apartments and the Salvation Army on Meridian Street.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Children's Museum of Indianapolis plans to tear down two nearby buildings.

They bought the old Drake Apartments and the Salvation Army on Meridian Street.

The museum later found out that it would be too expensive to repair, so both buildings will be demolished in the coming months.

They plan to use the properties for extra parking, exhibits and programs.
