The fire was reported around 3 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of West 52nd Street and Georgetown Road.

INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators are looking into the cause of an apartment fire that displaced several people and sent a child to the hospital early Thursday.

Around 3 a.m. Jan. 25, crews from the Pike Township Fire Department and Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the Woodbrook Apartments in the 5200 block of Pinebrook Drive, near West 52nd Street and Georgetown Road, for a report of the fire.

Crews found large amount of flames coming from an apartment building when they arrived, a Pike Township Fire Department battalion chief told 13News. Several people were evacuated from the building, and two people suffered minor injuries.
