INDIANAPOLIS — A child is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle on the south side of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened in the 4000 block of South Rural Street, near East Hanna Avenue, around 5 p.m. Feb. 27. According to IMPD, the child, whose age was not released, was crossing Hanna Avenue when they were struck by a westbound vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officers, police said.
The child was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but police said their condition has stabilized.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
