SPEEDWAY, Ind. — A near-record Hoosier Lottery jackpot was sold to a lucky winner in Speedway this week.
A ticket for the $44 million Hoosier Lotto game Wednesday night was sold at Lucky's Mart at 5208 W. 10th St. The jackpot is the second-largest in the game's history, behind only a $54.5 million prize won on Nov. 7, 2007.
The winning Hoosier Lotto numbers for the Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 jackpot were 9-16-22-26-30-37.
Before the jackpot was won, Hoosier Lottery officials say it was the largest state lottery jackpot in the country and the third-largest among all jackpots, behind only the Powerball and Mega Millions.
The Hoosier Lotto jackpot had gone more than a year without a winner since the $19.5 million jackpot on Sept. 7, 2022.
For selling the winning ticket, Lucky's Mart will win a $100,000 prize.
The next jackpot, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11 p.m., is set at $1 million.
