GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTHR) – One of the last mom-and-pop, local grocers in Greenwood has announced that they will be closing their doors after 45 years.

Hampton's Market was best known in the Center Grove area for it's fresh meat counter and fried chicken.

In a Facebook post, the market said they couldn't compete with big name grocery stores like Walmart, Target and two Kroger locations in the surrounding area.
