CASS COUNTY, Indiana — Indiana State Police is investigating after a deputy chase left one person dead Monday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m. June 17, police said a Cass County sheriff's deputy was patrolling State Road 29, just south of Logansport. The deputy tried to stop a Jeep for speeding, but the Jeep didn't stop and instead drove southbound on State Road 29.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Police have not shared their identity at this time.
ISP said officers later discovered that the Jeep had been stolen from Monticello, Indiana.
Cass County is approximately 80 miles north of downtown Indianapolis.
