CARMEL, Ind. (WTHR) — The Cake Bake Shop is having a special celebration Thursday for a 4-year-old girl who is battling cancer.

Marley is a Make-A-Wish kid who's turning 5 years old on Friday. Cake Bake Shop owner Gwendolyn Rogers has created a "Wishes Cake" in her honor. Marley will be the first to try the cake Thursday.

The cake is a three-layer vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream frosting, topped with crystal sanding sugar, lavender rosettes and white chocolate discs. Rogers met Marley and was inspired to create the cake after seeing her bubbly personality.

Half of the proceeds from the Wishes Cake will go to Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The organization will give Marley the chance to go to Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii in March.
