INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A mural honoring a Pacers legend downtown is taking shape!
When you drive by the building downtown on Michigan Street near Delaware you can see Reggie Miller's head, arms and part of his torso.
Pamela Bliss is the artist creating the mural.
"I hear a lot of yelling "boom baby" and the chant 'Reggie, Reggie, Reggie' when people go by and people are commenting 'It's Reggie,' and they're wondering why something hasn't been done before now, you know? They feel like it's a long time coming," Bliss said
Pamela said she's impressed by how many young people know the history of Reggie Miller.
She says the Jafari family recently bought the building and wanted a mural that everyone could enjoy.
Bliss also painted the Kurt Vonnegut mural on Mass Avenue.
We will be sure to update this story once the mural is completed.
