INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – The Blue Angels announced Sunday that they're planning a flyover in Indianapolis.

Like the Indiana National Guard, this is something the Blue Angels have been doing across the country to honor frontline workers.

In addition to Indianapolis, The Blue Angels will also be flying over Detroit and Chicago as part of Tuesday's route.

The times are listed below:

  • Flyovers in Detroit will start at 11:30 a.m. (ET) and last roughly 21 minutes.
  • Flyovers in Chicago will start at 11:45 a.m. (CDT) and last roughly 15 minutes.
  • Flyovers in Indianapolis will start at 2 p.m. (ET) and last roughly 11 minutes.

The Blue Angels will start over Beech Grove around 2 p.m. and make their way around downtown Indianapolis for about 11 minutes.

The Blue Angels tweeted a map of their flight path. Click here to see the tweet.

The Blue Angels are asking that people maintain social distancing while watching the flyover and avoid traveling to view it.
