Lea Ann Stundins began her blog, "Mommy's Wish List," for one simple reason: "Because I just couldn't believe how much free stuff there is."
There are deals to be had even at popular restaurants, according to Stundins, including "TGI Friday's, Chili's, Applebee's."
The best dining deals are all in one place. "Free breakfast at Denny's. Free tea at Starbucks."
TGI Fridays recently had a printable coupon for "buy one entree get one free."
"That's a $12 steak for free," Stundins said.
Chili's is one of many chains that will email special offers. "Join and get free chips and queso just for signing up."
Many restaurants will feed you free on your birthday, and here's a list parents will love.
"Every day of the week where you can feed your kid for free," she said.
Entertainment books are another money saver. If you haven't been using them, it's time to look again. The cost of buying the book may be well worth it. You can buy the books online and the price drops throughout the year.
"Halfway through the year you can get an entertainment book for half price," said Stundins.
With a little effort, Stundins says you can cut your bill and spend less time in the kitchen.
