Another Indiana police department is asking to equip their officers with body cameras.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff posted on his Facebook page that with budget hearings around the corner, they will be asking for the needed funding. Sheriff Matt Myers says his department has studied and tested the cameras for more than a year, and now that Indiana lawmakers have settled issues regarding management of the data, they're are ready to move forward.
Sheriff Myers also says the need for body cameras is an important safety issue both for law enforcement and the public.
