ELKHART, Ind. (WTHR) - Amber Pasztor entered a guilty plea Thursday morning in Elkhart County Court in the smothering death of her two children.
The plea follows a judge's ruling that she was competent to stand trial for the murders. She was evaluated three times for mental competency. Her attorney argued she was mentally ill.
In September, Pasztor allegedly admitted to Elkhart police that she killed 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor after an Amber Alert was issued in their case.
Pasztor could face 130 years in prison. Her sentencing will take place on June 29.
