BATTLE GROUND, Ind. — A woman is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash near Battle Ground Sunday night.
The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office reported to a motorcycle crash in the 9700 block of Tyler Road around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Police said the preliminary investigation reveals the female driver, a 68-year-old woman from Monticello, Indiana, was heading south on Tyler Road. She didn't see the turn, so she ended up running off the right side of the road and into a field.
The woman received facial injuries and was transported to IU Methodist in Indianapolis for "life-threatening injuries."
Officers noted she was not wearing a helmet.
The Battle Ground Fire Department, the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police responded to the crash.
Tyler Road was closed for two hours.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office.
