INDIANAPOLIS — Four people, two dogs and one chicken were rescued after their encampment was flooded Thursday afternoon.
The Indianapolis Fire Department, Wayne Township Fire Department and IMPD responded to the area near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and Raymond Street, near a portion of Eagle Creek, on Indy's southwest side shortly before 2:30 p.m. April 11 for a water rescue.
First responders arrived and found a homeless encampment that had been flooded.
Dive teams responded and reportedly rescued four people, two dogs and one chicken from the flood. First responders told 13News that no one was injured.
