INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department is investigating after a double-residence fire left five adults and two kids displaced Friday morning on Indy's near east side.
At around 3 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of the fire in the 200 block of Hendricks Place, near Washington Street and State Avenue.
IFD says none of the people were injured in the fire, but the Red Cross is still on the scene to provide aid for them.
Power was cut from the building as firefighters battled the blaze. Officials say there is currently no understanding of what caused the fire.
