INDIANAPOLIS — Four people suffered injuries after a police chase ended in a crash Thursday afternoon on the west side of Indianapolis.
Indiana State Police said a trooper tried to pull over the driver of a gray Ford Mustang for aggressive driving and excessive speed near 10th Street and Tibbs Avenue around 5:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22. The driver refused to stop and sped away from the trooper, ISP reported.
A short time later, the Mustang t-boned another vehicle at the intersection of 10th Street and Holt Road. The driver and a passenger of the Mustang suffered serious injuries in the crash, and two people in the vehicle that were struck were also seriously injured, police said.
All four victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police did not have further information about the extent of their injuries Thursday evening.
The investigation is ongoing, but state police say the driver of the Mustang is facing several criminal charges.
