INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that displaced three people and caused extensive damage to a home on Indianapolis' south side early Tuesday.
Around 3:45 a.m. Nov. 14, crews responded to a house in the 1400 block of East Perry Street, near the intersection of East Troy and Carson avenues, for a report of a fire with people possibly trapped.
Three people and a dog had been inside the home, but had made it outside by the time firefighters arrived, fire officials told 13News.
Firefighters battled heavy fire in the back of the house with 20-30-foot flames.
The fire was brought under control in roughly 30 minutes.
The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist those displaced.
