2 displaced after car crashes into home on Indy's near northwest side

The incident was reported around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of West 35th Street, a few blocks west of Crown Hill Cemetery.

Two people and two dogs were displaced when a car crashed into a house in the 1100 block of West 35th Street July 24, 2024.

INDIANAPOLIS — Two people and two dogs were displaced after a car crashed into a home on Indianapolis' near northwest side Wednesday evening. 

The incident was reported around 7:15 p.m. July 24 in the 1100 block of West 35th Street, a few blocks west of Dr. M.L.K. Jr Street and Crown Hill Cemetery. 

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the occupants of the car fled the scene before first responders arrived.

A total of seven IFD units responded to the scene, including a collapse rescue team.

No injuries were reported, but the two occupants of the home, as well as two dogs, were forced to relocate. 

IMPD is investigating the incident.
