BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — Two people were injured, one seriously, in a single-car crash near Lebanon Wednesday morning.
The crash was reported around 10:15 a.m. May 1 in the 4500 block of US Highway 52, around five miles northwest of Lebanon.
Responding Boone County Sheriff's Office deputies and Lebanon Police Department officers found the driver of a Buick sedan, a Crawfordsville woman, had gotten herself out of the crashed car before they arrived. A passenger was ejected in the crash and trapped under the car, the sheriff's office said.
The passenger was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, while the driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The sheriff's office said the cause of the crash is under investigation by the Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team.
