13News anchor Scott Swan shoots the puck for charity at Indy Fuel game

The shot was an effort to win a big prize for Lamplighter Ministries.

INDIANAPOLIS — It was a moment 13News anchor Scott Swan hoped might be worthy of the "best thing we've seen today" segment.

Unfortunately, Scott's effort in the Indy Fuel's "Shoot The Puck" for charity didn't go the way he had hoped.

The puck went wide left and missed the tiny hole in the board in front of the goal, meaning Lamplighter Ministries did not get a $10,000 prize.

Ever emphasizing the positive, Scott thanked the Fuel for the invitation to return to take the shot this season and to "show that I have no hockey skills whatsoever."

Thanks for all you do to support local charities and civic organizations, Scott!

Shoot the puck for charity

My dream of scoring $10,000 for Lamplighter Ministries ended tonight at the Indy Fuel game. I couldn’t shoot the puck through a tiny hole. It went wide left. A reminder to fans I lack hockey talent.
