13 things you didn't know about Pat McAfee

1) Pat's parents moved from Pittsburgh to the Indianapolis-area in September “because Pat asked us to!” Read more about them here.

2) He has a rescue dog named Snookie.

3) Pat's older brother, Jason, looks just like Pat. Jason is 3 years, 9 months older than Pat, but Pat is taller.

4) In high school, he was constantly changing the color of his hair. His mom hated it. There is word that he had a perm at one time. Sadly, we don't have a photo of that.

5) His mom made him change his hair to a “normal” color for his senior picture.

6) Pat drove his parents crazy bouncing a soccer ball in the house in the winter, then against the house in the summer. Soccer was the center of the family's life when Pat and Jason were growing up.

7) Pat didn't kick a football seriously until his junior year in high school.

8) He won a punt, pass and kick competition in 2003. Future teammate Peyton Manning was on the brochure.

9) He didn't have a favorite football team growing up, but his favorite player was Randy Moss.

10) If he weren't a football player, Pat's brother says he'd probably be a WWE wrestler. Pat has a full-size wrestling ring in his house, though it's not set up yet. We hope to see him using it sometime in the near future.

11) He has a small arcade in his house. It's in his dining room. He says Terminator is “super intense.”

12) He has a big heart. Pat gives scholarships to sons and daughters of US military personnel through his Pat McAfee Foundation. His dad helped set up the foundation about 3 years ago.

13) His family says he is intensely competitive – that's why he's so good.
