- Indy LaborFest
Georgia Street will be transformed for Indianapolis Labor Fest, a free-admission street festival featuring live music, food, beverages and family-friendly activities. Click here for more.
- 61st Annual Chevrolet Performance NRHA US Nationals
This weekend, thousands of people will be Indianapolis for the oldest drag race in the world - the NHRA drag racing championships at Lucas Oil Raceway. Click here for a full schedule.
- Gene Wilder Film Festival
The Indiana Museum of Art and the IMAX Theater at the Indiana State Museum are showing three of Wilder's beloved films. The IMA will host a screening of Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" Friday night. Then Saturday at the IMAX Theater, you can catch "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" in the morning and "Blazing Saddles" that night. General admission tickets for all movies are $5. - Indianapolis Indians homestand
The Indianapolis Indians play their final home games of the season Friday and Saturday against the Louisville Bats. Click here to buy tickets, which range from $9 - $35.
- Pirates and Princesses: Storybook Adventures
Looking for something for the kids? In "Pirates and Princesses: Storybook Adventures" at Indianapolis Children's Museum, children and families are heroes of their own adventures, role-playing as royals and rebels in an inventive exhibit that inspires the imagination.
- Pat Mcafee's "Cracking up for Kokomo!"
The Colts punter is hosting a comedy benefit at the Murat Theatre Friday night with all proceeds going to the United Way of Howard County for Kokomo tornado relief.
- Shakespeare in the Park: Romeo & Juliet
The Garfield Shakespeare Company presents the classic tragedy Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. Details here.
- Marsh Symphony on the Prairie

- Black Sabbath: The End
See Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath's final appearance in Indianapolis. Their farewell tour hits the Klipsch Music Center Friday night.
- Devour Downtown
Labor Day weekend is also your last chance to take advantage of Devour Downtown's summer event across downtown Indianapolis.
- "Back Home Again"
Downtown for other events or just want to walk around the streets of Indy? You'll notice a new series of sculptures going up around the city, and it's the work of Hoosier artist Don Gummer, the husband of actress Meryl Streep. Gummer is in town this week, overseeing the exhibition called "Back Home Again." He has created eight sculptures, including one placed in Fountain Square.
- Sun King Tasting Sessions
Sun King’s Tasting Room is open to the public so that you can sample their house and available seasonal and/or specialty beers.
- Paws to Read
