INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, groups from across central Indiana tested their strength for a good cause.
The 12th annual Republic Airways Plane Pull took place April 20 at the Indianapolis International Airport. The event benefited several local charities, including Indiana Wish, the Riley Children's Foundation and Peyton Manning Children's Hospital.
During the event, 46 teams of 10 people took turns pulling a plane across a hangar.
The event raised $5 million for children battling life-threatening illnesses.
While it's all in good fun, there are also prizes up for grabs for the team with the most spirit, best costumes and the fastest pull time.
